CONCEPT OVERVIEW:
Jerk & Jackass is reminiscent of those good old vintage bars/saloons from long ago. Now…we’ve completely revived the concept with a modern twist and brought back those vintage elements you remember. Not only is this a new “vintage take” on what a bar should look and feel like, it also has a kitchen element to entice your palate! We’ve taken the best from the past and blended it with a new look and feel that will delight and surprise you. More than just a bar offering great classic cocktails, J&J will have your favorite bar food creatively designed and presented with fresh, quality ingredients, organic meats, and farm-to-table elements. This kitchen/bar is like being at home with your best friends or family, where everyone wants to be at the party sitting around the communal table. It will be a bar that offers more than just cocktails – it will be an experience to share with friends over our signature coffee bar and breakfast menu. Come relax and take a trip down memory lane in a very casual and welcoming atmosphere.
DESIGN THEME:
Imagine a modern cantina/saloon with vintage elements, blended in a new, modern design. The rustic elements of raw steel beams, polished concrete floors, antique kitchen wares, wooden tables and burlap sacks will be blended with modern leather couches, funky light fixtures, vintage black & white pictures and colored posters. Think “cowboy meets Bohemian conservatism.” We’ll have large open ceilings with exposed vents and train track shelves, bourbon barrels, and contemporary picnic table seating. You’ll also see blackboard specials and inspirational Jerk & Jackass quotes along brick walls.
CUISINE:
This won’t be your ordinary “bar food.” We’re inspired by combining organic and “great quality” ingredients always served fresh – never frozen. There will be a variety of beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, and vegetable sliders, organic hot dogs with a twist, and black truffle French fries. You will also find cheese plates, charcuterie, tacos, pizzas, flatbreads and 10 different versions of homemade chili. It will be a very approachable menu with homemade offerings focusing on quality, simplicity, and unique presentation.
BEVERAGES:
A full bar will be available with extensive signature bourbon cocktails, a large variety of IPA beer on tap, imported beers, homemade lemonade, spiked lemonade, frozen sangrias, and signature coffees from our coffee bar, including our signature “adult shakes.”
SERVICE THEME:
This will be a full service bar and restaurant with a very informal and casual approach focused on family and shared dining.
TABLE AND ROOM THEME:
We’ll feature rustic wooden tables with a modern design, including benches with burlap pillows, couches, and vintage barstools. Brown butcher paper will be used as placemats with mason jars for glassware. We’ll also make use of tin cups and cowboy-style black coffee pots, grandma’s cast iron skillets, wooden beer buckets, wooden boards with smaller jars, a custom designed wooden salad bar, and custom labeled BBQ sauces, chili paste, and spices.
