There never seem to be enough burger bars or burger concepts! Over the past 15 years, the traditional burger has undergone many makeovers in the continual quest for the best, most interesting burger in the land. Burgers have become among the most popular, convenient meals, with fast food establishments on almost every corner. But as burgers have been reinvented and consumer demand has increased, so has the public’s knowledge of its side effects. The population’s constant struggle with obesity coupled with the recent popularity of gluten-free diets might lead one to think that burger bars today emphasize healthier alternatives.
Unfortunately, that is not the case…and we believe Iceburger will be the solution to this dilemma.
Let’s be honest. Consumers will never abandon their favorite food. After all, who can resist a delicious, juicy burger? Our concept is to still provide that same delicious burger sandwiched between crisp lettuce instead of buns. Patrons can choose from salmon, turkey, bison, lentil, mushroom and vegetable burgers. To further accommodate discerning consumers, our meat will be kosher and halal-approved. This concept will defy the preconceived notion that “healthy burgers” taste bad. Through our methods and unique creativity, we will assemble and present a reimagined, mouthwatering meal favorite. We also incorporate another consumer favorite, a cupcake bar.
We will use a minimalist industrial design with elements that speak to a fresh, clean, and crisp environment without feeling too sterile. Interiors will feature warm colors that entice the senses, even for the healthy and organic palate, with a distinctive look and feel. This friendly and approachable concept is not the standard commercialized “fast food” restaurant. Its design shows we care about customers and the environment.
Menu offerings include creatively designed sliders filled with a choice of Angus beef, chicken, turkey, salmon, crab, and lentil as well as a veggie burger. The unique element of Iceburger is that instead of using regular buns, we will offer all types of burgers placed between baby iceberg lettuce, providing a healthier burger sandwich. Our burgers and sliders will be accompanied by a variety of salsas, aioli, dressings, and our hand-cut fries with chili spices including truffle fries. For dessert? Cupcakes at our cupcake bar for guests with a sweet tooth.
Besides the standard beverages such as sodas, lemonade, iced tea, and juices, there will be a large focus on smoothies and “healthy style” beverages to accompany the meals, including frozen yogurt shakes.
Semi self-serve concept: order at a counter and food is brought to the table with an assigned number. Takeout will also be available along with special cupcake orders.
TABLE AND ROOM THEME
The overall visuals will be white, representing a clean, forest-green organic theme. There will also be a blend of rustic concrete walls and a natural feel with the industrial ceiling. We will have clean, white tables and serve food on wooden planks, aluminum trays, and custom-designed baskets. Uniquely designed cups for fries and burger holders will be used with 100-percent recyclable material. The overall theme speaks to clean, healthy, organic, environmental awareness.
